»ShildFont is an open-source creative technology intervention developed to protect human writing from unauthorized AI training. Why? Writing makes us human. But at some point, we lost ownership. AI learns from it and uses it without explanation.«

Danish type foundry PlayType teamed up with Brazilian creative studio Seneda & Abrucio to develop technology (and a font) to make text look perfectly normal to humans but poison the data that LLM bots scrape from it without permission. Fascinating. (via fastcompany.com)

»LLMs drift, fabricate tokens, and start every session from scratch. Here’s how to feed your design system to AI coding agents so they stop guessing.«

»Yet, I want to know these tools, these new tools of increasing weirdness and danger. So I use them, daily, amid a constantly fluctuating state of bafflement and delight and horror (pessimistic, optimistic, manic). Over the last couple of months I’ve continued to use mostly Claude to work on a bunch of projects.«

Author Craig Mod wrote about his most “Recent adventures in using LLMs”. For example sending out A Swarm of Blood Robots, to learn more about his ancestors based on his adoption papers.

I would love to deep-dive into the specific use cases that great creative people come up with for this technology more often. Any recommendations?
